The Sylacauga Aggies came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past Childersburg with a 68-63 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Sylacauga was led to victory by Conner Twymon and Jordan Roberson. Twymon scored 21 points along with two steals, while Roberson scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Twymon continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Revish Bardwell, who scored six points along with 14 rebounds.
Sylacauga has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Childersburg, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
Sylacauga will be playing at home against Jemison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jemison will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Sylacauga is ranked 181st). As for Childersburg, they will head out on the road to challenge Comer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
