The Paramus Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 46-30 bruising from West Milford. Paramus was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Milford apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
West Milford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Avery Vacca led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Adison Arciniega was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Paramus bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for West Milford, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Paramus will head out on the road to face off against Indian Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Milford will be home for the holidays to greet Clifton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
