Shoals was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cannelton Bulldogs. On the bright side, the 15- run effort marked the Jug Rox's highest-scoring matchup to date.

Shoals' loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Cannelton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Shoals has already played their next contest, a 19-2 defeat against Evansville Christian on the 12th. As for Cannelton, they will square off against Springs Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
