The Boulder Panthers will take on the Brighton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boulder is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Boulder needed a bit of extra time to put away Westminster. They had just enough and edged out the Wolves 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
Kai Paradise looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Maks Matheson was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Skubic, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.
Boulder kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Brighton earned a 7-4 victory over Loveland on Saturday.
The team relied heavily on Austin Sickler, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Blake Robinson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.
Boulder's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Brighton, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Boulder has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Brighton struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Boulder couldn't quite get it done against Brighton when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 11-6. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
