Southern Alamance hasn't had much luck against Orange recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Southern Alamance Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Orange Panthers at 8:00 p.m. Southern Alamance is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season.
Southern Alamance will head into Tuesday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They lost 70-47 to Person. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 467th, while the Rockets are ranked 47th).

Southern Alamance might have lost, but man, Brandyn Gonzalez was a machine: he went 5 of 11 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. Gonzalez is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Eli Gilley, who posted six points.
Meanwhile, Orange entered their tilt with Person on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Rockets 67-65.
Southern Alamance better keep an eye on Xandrell Pennix. He was instrumental in Orange's win, putting up 19 points and five steals. Pennix is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Wade, who had seven points in addition to seven assists and five boards.
Orange smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games.
Southern Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Orange, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Southern Alamance has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Orange struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Southern Alamance took a serious blow against Orange in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 93-39. Will Southern Alamance have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
