Basketball Recap: Lincoln Park Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Dimitry Dossous and Tamario Mcleod

Lincoln Park Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 75-49 to the Treasure Coast Titans. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 699th, while the Titans are ranked 217th).

Tamario McLeod and Dimitry Dossous certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. McLeod dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards, while Dossous went 6 of 13 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. McLeod is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Kyle Lexer also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Treasure Coast got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carmine Anroman out in front who posted 11 points and three steals. Those three steals gave Anroman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nate Collins, who earned 13 points.

Lincoln Park Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Treasure Coast, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-9 record.

Lincoln Park Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-49 win against Master's Academy on the 24th. Treasure Coast has also already played their next game, a 42-32 defeat against South Fork on the 24th.
