The Chassell Panthers entered their tilt with the Dollar Bay Bays with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Chassell secured a 65-60 W over Dollar Bay on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Bays players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Liam Tourtillott, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Gaunt, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Chassell is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Dollar Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chassell will take on Johnston at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Dollar Bay, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against L'Anse at 7:15 p.m. Dollar Bay is facing L'Anse at the right time seeing as L'Anse is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
