After flying high against the Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles last Monday, the Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots came back down to earth. Surry HomeSchool was dealt a 58-24 loss at the hands of South Guilford HomeSchool on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Surry HomeSchool has suffered yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Guilford HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kassidy Bullins, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailey Bullins, who almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 12 rebounds, and nine blocks.
Surry HomeSchool's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Surry HomeSchool will take on South Charlotte T at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Charlotte T is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Asheboro Hybrid Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Asheboro Hybrid Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while South Guilford HomeSchool is ranked 161st).
