Grossmont got themselves on the board against Ramona on Saturday, but Ramona never followed suit. They blew past the Bulldogs 20-0. The Foothillers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Grossmont's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabi Thomas, who picked up 45 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 55 yards. Another passer making a difference was Marissa Farace, who threw for 120 yards and three TDs.

Another reason for the win was Grossmont's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Taina Mediina-Cotto refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by herself. She was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making five total tackles.

Grossmont's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Ramona, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Grossmont wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 24-6 victory against Otay Ranch on the 30th. As for Ramona, they have also already played their next matchup, an 18-0 loss against Carlsbad on the 30th.
