Softball Recap: Riverdale Has No Trouble Against Vanlue

Riverdale lost to Vanlue back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 18-5 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Riverdale and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Vanlue, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Coming up, Riverdale will square off against Cory-Rawson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vanlue, they will challenge Upper Scioto Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
