Hutsonville/Palestine is 0-3 against Casey-Westfield since May of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

The Tigers' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.
Hayden Monan made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brynn Griffin, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Rilyn Lawhead was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Casey-Westfield entered their tilt with Paris on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Tigers.
Ava Goble spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Anna Karras was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Allyson Truelove, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
Casey-Westfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .303 or higher in six consecutive games.
Hutsonville/Palestine pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Casey-Westfield, their victory bumped their record up to 22-3.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hutsonville/Palestine hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .375. However, it's not like Casey-Westfield struggles in that department as they've averaged .455. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
