While the King Jaguars couldn't quite beat the Francis W. Parker Colonels on Monday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 38-point defeat they were dealt last Monday. King fell just short of the Colonels by a score of 52-50. King has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Anna Swanson was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Francis W. Parker. It was the first time this season that Swanson pulled down eight or more rebounds.
King's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Francis W. Parker, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.
King does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Francis W. Parker will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Jones' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Colonels have been banged up by 15 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
