Flowery Branch is 8-0 against the Patriots since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Flowery Branch Falcons will look to defend their home court against the Heritage Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Flowery Branch lost to the Eagles on the road by a decisive 58-39 margin.
Meanwhile, Heritage's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a rough 67-47 loss at the hands of Jefferson. While losing is never fun, Heritage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Dragons are ranked 31st).
Flowery Branch now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Heritage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Flowery Branch was able to grind out a solid victory over the Patriots when the teams last played back in January, winning 61-49. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Heritage's Tyerra Johnson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Flowery Branch still be able to contain Johnson? There's only one way to find out.
