This season hasn't been kind to the Cannelton Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 15th game. They took a 24-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of Columbus Christian on Saturday. Cannelton lost against Columbus Christian in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-33 score last time.
Columbus Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paige Harden, who scored five points.
Cannelton bumped their record down to 0-15 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.3 points per game. As for Columbus Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-9.
Cannelton is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Frederick Fraize at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Frederick Fraize presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cannelton in their respective states (Frederick Fraize is ranked 200th in Kentucky, while Cannelton is ranked 416th in Indiana). As for Columbus Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Medora at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th.
