Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ware Shoals). They were the clear victors by a 27-1 margin over the McCormick Chiefs on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Sarah Vinson made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Bella Davis was incredible, firing off three home runs, eight RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Selena Timms, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
