In what's become a running theme this season, the Lakeland Christian Vikings gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They put the hurt on Ridgeview Global Studies Academy with a sharp 62-37 victory. Lakeland Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lakeland Christian found their leader in underclassman Issa Simpson, who scored 19 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Simpson scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Bennett, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Chelsse Jean-Giles and Stephanie Morales certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Jean-Giles scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks, while Morales scored 23 points. That's the first time this season that Jean-Giles pulled down eight or more rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Lakeland Christian and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, they bumped their record down to 4-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Santa Fe Catholic has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 27.
