Lincolnview has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Bluffton Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lincolnview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
In what's become a running theme this season, Lincolnview gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They breezed by Hicksville at home to the tune of 55-15. With Lincolnview ahead 30-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Emerson Walker, who scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Keira Breese was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Meanwhile, Bluffton earned a 41-33 win over Pandora-Gilboa on Saturday.
It was another big night for Ayla Grandey, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Hobensack, who scored six points along with two steals.
Lincolnview is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Bluffton, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Thursday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Lincolnview have been dynamite from deep this season, having only nailed 35.7% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Bluffton struggles in that department as they've made 37.7% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Lincolnview was able to grind out a solid victory over Bluffton in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 45-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincolnview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
