Harmony is 1-9 against Viera since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Harmony Longhorns will host the Viera Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Harmony sitting on seven straight victories and Viera on five.
On Thursday, everything went Harmony's way against Tohopekaliga as Harmony made off with a 14-1 win. The Longhorns might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.
Alexavier Lebron looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Harmony let Westin Thompson and Samuel Castillo run wild. Thompson scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Castillo scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Castillo a new career-high in doubles (two). Angel Medina was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Harmony always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Viera). They put the hurt on Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy with a sharp 24-6 victory on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Kayden Dougherty looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
On the hitting side, Viera got a massive performance out of Brady Jensen, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Dominic Leoni, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.
Viera's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs over those games. As for Harmony, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Harmony came out on top in a nail-biter against Viera when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Does Harmony have another victory up their sleeve, or will Viera turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
