The Watkins Mill Wolverines's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Damascus Hornets on February 13th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Watkins Mill was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 75-70 to Magruder. While losing is never fun, Watkins Mill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Magruder is ranked 60th).
Meanwhile, Damascus earned a 63-54 win over Rockville on Friday.
Watkins Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Damascus, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
Watkins Mill lost to Damascus on the road by a decisive 57-40 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Watkins Mill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
