The Carbon Dinos lost against the Richfield Wildcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Carbon lost to the Wildcats on the road by a decisive 60-42 margin. Carbon has not had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Carbon still got an impressive performance from Kahner Raby, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Evan Lancaster, who scored five points along with three steals.
Carbon struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Richfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malik Fautin, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Yardley, who scored ten points along with five assists and two steals.
Carbon's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Richfield, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carbon will take on the Templars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Richfield, they will be playing at home against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully North Sanpete focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday.
