The Friendship Tech Prep Academy Titans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They really took it to SEED DC for the full four quarters, racking up a 85-52 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Friendship Tech Prep Academy has managed all season.
David Bumpass was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with three steals. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Joebari Parsons was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why SEED DC lost, one person who can't be blamed is Wendell Allsbrook. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Allsbrook has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dionte Garcia, who scored nine points.
Friendship Tech Prep Academy pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points per game. As for SEED DC, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Friendship Tech Prep Academy will face off against St. Albans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Albans will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps District of Columbia Rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Friendship Tech Prep Academy is ranked seventh). SEED DC won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Eastern knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully SEED DC likes a good challenge.
