Roosevelt has gone 8-2 against Taylor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Griffins at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Roosevelt took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Allen Park 6-5.

Connor Bedo was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
Bedo wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Zack Hoffman, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Luke Hurliman was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.
Roosevelt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Taylor entered their tilt with Lincoln Park on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Railsplitters get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
The result came thanks to Jason Miller's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Taylor is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-10 otherwise.
Taylor's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
Roosevelt came up short against Taylor in their previous meeting back in April, falling 8-4. Will the Bears have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
