Basketball Recap: Nairi Latham Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Eagle Academy

Marion P. Thomas won the last time they faced Eagle Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. Marion P. Thomas walked away with a 63-50 victory over Eagle Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for Marion P. Thomas.

Marion P. Thomas' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nairi Latham, who posted 22 points in addition to five assists and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Latham has scored at least a third of Marion P. Thomas' points. Dayvon Hinson was another key player, putting up 18 points along with seven boards and five assists.

Marion P. Thomas' victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Eagle Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Marion P. Thomas will take on Lakeland Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Eagle Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
