Nova was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Piper Bengals 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Bengals: they've now won six in a row.

Nova wouldn't go down easily and took Piper into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 23-25, 22-25, 15-10.

The victory got Nova back to even at 1-1. As for Piper, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Nova will square off against Flanagan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piper, they will face off against Hallandale at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
