Make it eight blowout wins for the Rutherford Rams this season. They blew past Godby 64-43. The win was familiar territory for Rutherford who now have three in a row.
Godby's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Staten, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Williams, who scored eight points.
Rutherford pushed their record up to 13-7 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points per game. As for Godby, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.
Rutherford will head out on the road to take on Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bay knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Rutherford likes a good challenge. As for Godby, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Taylor County at 7:00 p.m. Taylor County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while Godby is ranked 204th).
