Columbia is 2-8 against River View since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Coyotes will venture away from home to challenge the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. Columbia knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully River View likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, Columbia got the win against Granger by a conclusive 25-4. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Ivy Carter was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in March of 2025. Gracelyn Waters was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four runs and three RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when River View duked it out with Warden last Friday. The Panthers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 13-12. The loss was the Panthers' first of the season.
Danika Koch led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one double. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Courtney Morris, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Having lost for the first time this season, River View fell to 6-1. As for Columbia, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Columbia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .451. However, it's not like River View struggles in that department as they've averaged .479. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Columbia might still be hurting after the 20-3 defeat they got from River View when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Coyotes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
