Leola/Frederick extended the longest winning streak in Lake Region (9 Man) this week by beating Britton-Hecla, 43-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Titans.
Faulkton was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Northwestern Area. The Trojans came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Faulkton and Leola/Frederick. Shayne Geditz's team enters the game ranked 22nd in the state, while Mike Waltman's team ranks second.
The Trojans' offense has racked up 152 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Titans have allowed only 43 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Faulkton takes on Leola/Frederick. The Trojans have allowed 61 points this season, while the Titans have given up 43. Faulkton allowed 8 points last week as it topped the Wildcats.
The Trojans led the league in scoring this week by notching 50 points on Northwestern Area. Oliver Aesoph ran for 71 yards and caught 2 passes for 19 yards in the win.
