Landon Collins shocks his mom with Alabama commitment.

, the nation's No. 12 recruit, has committed to Alabama.
He made the announcement this evening during the Under Armor All-American Game, televised by ESPN.
An outstanding athlete, Collins dominated the combine circuit and continued his outstanding play on the field this fall.
"He's a great talent,"
Dutchtown (Geismar, La.) head coach Benny Gaia told MaxPreps this spring. "He certainly has the combination of size and speed that you look for."
However, expect Collins to line up on defense at the next level.
"I consider myself a safety," he
told MaxPreps during the season. "I love it. You get to do it all. You hit anybody with the ball."
Collins earned Class 5A All-State honors at both running back, where he rushed for 1,218 yards and 21 touchdowns,and defensive back, where he made 34 tackles and added four interceptions.
He joins a recruiting class that features
four other Top 100 recruits.
