The Northeastern Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Centerville 69-23 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-8.
It was another big night for Addisen Mastriano, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Ava Mikesell was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Northeastern is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Centerville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeastern will take on Tri at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road. As for Centerville, they will be playing at home against Winchester Community at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
