The St. Michael the Archangel Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 27 points or more this season. They blew past Fredericksburg V 57-16 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Michael the Archangel.
St. Michael the Archangel's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anjalia Bryant , who scored 25 points along with eight steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Bryant has scored at least 25% of St. Michael the Archangel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janaye Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 24 rebounds.
St. Michael the Archangel's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Fredericksburg V, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Michael the Archangel will take on Christ Chapel Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christ Chapel Academy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Fredericksburg V will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fairfax HomeSchool on January 20th.
