Softball Recap: Botkins Sets Scoring Season-High Against Perry

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Botkins). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Perry Commodores a 23-0 shutout on Friday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Botkins now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Perry, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Botkins will challenge Lehman Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trojans are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Perry, they will square off against Upper Scioto Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
