The Victory Prep Academy Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Victory Prep Academy couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They received a tough blow back in December of 2023 as they fell 33-16 to Ascent Classical Academy.
Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain Lutheran came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Loveland Classical by a score of 35-26.
Ginny Shade was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Rocky Mountain Lutheran's points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Thiel, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Victory Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
