The Monroe Vikings fell victim to the Jordan Bulldogs''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a decisive 19-0 margin. Monroe's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
It was another big night for David Sandy, who rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 86 yards and a touchdown on only seven passes. Sandy hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games.
Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Jordan, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Monroe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jordan will take on Verdugo Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Verdugo Hills is ranked 895th, while Jordan is ranked 907th).
