They escaped with a win against Argonia by the margin of a single free throw, 50-49. 50 seems to be a good number for Cedar Vale/Dexter as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
When it comes to explaining why Argonia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dalton Morrison. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Filippo Leonardi, who scored ten points along with six steals.
Cedar Vale/Dexter pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Argonia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Cedar Vale/Dexter will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Devils at 7:30 p.m. As for Argonia, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Oxford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
