Kohala couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-40 punch to the gut against Pahoa on Saturday. If Kohala were hoping to take revenge for the 36-46 loss against Pahoa the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
The defeat started Kohala out at 0-1 for the season. The win got Pahoa back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Kohala have some extra time to regroup and restrategize before their next game, which is against Ka'u at 1:00 PM in two weeks. As for Pahoa, they will face off against Ka'u.
