Volleyball Recap: Spruce Creek Takes a Loss

Spruce Creek managed to slip by Hagerty the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Spruce Creek came up short against Hagerty on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

While Spruce Creek was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-19.

Hagerty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathan L'Heureux, who had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces L'Heureux has posted over his last seven contests. Another player making a difference was Caden Houston, who had two aces and one block.

Spruce Creek now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Hagerty, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spruce Creek will venture away from home to square off against Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hagerty, they will head out to challenge Lake Howell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
