6A District 13 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Eau Gallie moved up to 371 from 401 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 6A District 13. The Commodores /Ftg climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Palm Bay 42-6.
Heritage extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bayside, 22-20. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Panthers.
Eau Gallie's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Commodores /Ftg feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Torrence Brown has thrown for 52 yards and one touchdown this season, while Daneil Kroupa has two catches for 34 yards. Jordan Benton leads the league in rushing with 124 yards.
A big matchup in 6A District 13 this week will be when Heritage takes on Melbourne. Ajay Ulmer's team is in first place, while the Bulldogs are in third place.
The Pirates took down Eau Gallie 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
