Johnson Central took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They breezed past the Letcher County Central Cougars to the tune of 47-6. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Looking ahead, Johnson Central will challenge Madison Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Letcher County Central, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Perry County Central at 7:30 p.m. on September 12.
