The Central Heights Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Erie Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Central Heights fell victim to Olpe's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 28-0 defeat at the hands of the Eagles.
Meanwhile, Erie took a serious blow against Jayhawk Linn on Friday, falling 38-6. Erie has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 4-4.
Central Heights was able to grind out a solid win over Erie in their previous matchup back in October of 2018, winning 40-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Heights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
