Last Thursday, Sullivan beat the Patriots 55-46. Given Sullivan's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Patriots are ranked 346th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for North Central at home against the Cardinals on Thursday as the team secured a 75-23 win. That 52 point margin sets a new team best for North Central this season.
North Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hayden Schultz, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schultz has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Hooper, who scored nine points.
Sullivan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for North Central, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Sullivan and the Thunderbirds were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but the Golden Arrows came up empty-handed after a 52-51 defeat.
