Harlem gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Belvidere Bucs 30-3. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Bucs: they've now won nine in a row.
Harlem found their leader in sophomore Braxton Faussett, who threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes.
One reason for the win was Harlem's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Brenyn Brickson was especially locked on to Belvidere's QB and sacked him twice. Brickson has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last 11 times he's played. Another thorn in Belvidere's side was Bryar Krieg, who made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
