Kentwood were successful in their last outing against Broadmoor, and they didn't afford Broadmoor any payback this time around. Kentwood walked away with a 20-8 win over Broadmoor.
Senior Trey Palmer, who caught passes for 82 yards and punched in 1 rushing TD, was a major factor in Kentwood's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Bryce Cooper, who racked up nine tackles.
The victory bumped Kentwood's record up to 5-0. The loss dropped Broadmoor's record to 1-4.
Kentwood will look to defend their home turf next week against White Castle at 7:00 PM. White Castle took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Kentwood's good fortune. As for Broadmoor, they will face off against McKinley. Neither Broadmoor nor McKinley could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
