Scranton Prep is 8-2 against Scranton since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cavaliers are taking a road trip to take on the Knights at 4:30 p.m. Scranton Prep will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
While Scranton Prep's win against Abington Heights wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cavaliers won by a run and slipped past the Comets 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cavaliers have posted against the Comets since May 4, 2023.

Johnny Petrosky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Scranton Prep's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Eli Zapotoski, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Scranton not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 20, 2025 (when they won 10-0). They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over Delaware Valley.
Drew Leonori made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Cayden Booth was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Thomas Brogan also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Scranton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Scranton's record is now 6-8. As for Scranton Prep, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Scranton Prep beat Scranton 6-2 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
