Softball Recap: Dacula Gets the Win

While Dacula's victory against Jackson County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Panthers on Thursday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Paisley Brown made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tatiana Loera, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Dacula hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The win got Dacula back to even at 3-3. As for Jackson County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Dacula will host Grayson at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Jackson County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Archer at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
