Scurry-Rosser is 8-2 against Palmer since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Scurry-Rosser Wildcats will be playing at home against the Palmer Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Scurry-Rosser's game was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past Blooming Grove with a 44-38 victory.
Meanwhile, Palmer was able to grind out a solid victory over Kemp on Tuesday, taking the game 56-49.
Palmer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenli Dobie, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dobie has scored all season. Peyton Yates was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Scurry-Rosser's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Palmer, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18.
Everything went Scurry-Rosser's way against Palmer in their previous matchup on January 2nd as Scurry-Rosser made off with a 56-36 victory. With Scurry-Rosser ahead 35-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
