Baseball Recap: Camden County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Camden County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let the First Flight Nighthawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Bruins have won four matches by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Bradley Elias, who gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks to keep First Flight off the board. Elias has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trot Pipkin was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Cooper Lewin, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Camden County pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for First Flight, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Camden County will have a chance to go back-to-back against First Flight: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
