Blackfoot is 8-2 against Skyline since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Broncos will square off against the Grizzlies at 3:30 p.m. Blackfoot will be strutting in after a victory while Skyline will be coming in after a defeat.
Blackfoot came out on top against Idaho Falls on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Broncos put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 9-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kylee Pratt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Blackfoot let Brianna Reynolds and Sela Christiansen run wild. Reynolds went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Christiansen went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Christiansen's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shea Staley, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Blackfoot lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Skyline didn't have quite enough to beat Hillcrest on Thursday and fell 6-5. The Grizzlies haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Brylee Scott and Dixee O'Haver stepped up to the plate in a big way. Scott went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while O'Haver went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Blackfoot, their record now sits at 16-4.
Skyline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Blackfoot has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Skyline, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Blackfoot's sizable advantage in that area, the Grizzlies will need to find a way to close that gap.
Blackfoot skirted past Skyline 7-6 when the teams last played last Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
