Volleyball Recap: St. Henry Victorious

While St. Henry's victory against North Oldham wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders skirted past the Mustangs 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

St. Henry was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 24-26, 35-10, 18-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Among those leading the charge was Caroline Tabeling, who had 14 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

St. Henry was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Oldham only served seven aces.

Despite the loss, North Oldham had strong showings from Ashlyn Thompson, who had 17 digs and one assist, and Chloe Clark, who had 15 assists and six digs. With that strong performance, Clark is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game. Mally Whittemore also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

St. Henry's record is now 8-2. As for North Oldham, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, St. Henry will head out to face off against Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Oldham, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Mercy on the 1st.
