Even though Donna Klein Jewish Academy has not done well against Highlands Christian recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Donna Klein Jewish Academy enjoyed a cozy 69-54 win over Highlands Christian. The win was just what Donna Klein Jewish Academy needed coming off of a 80-60 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Tal Kessous, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Matheson, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Village Academy by a score of 84-72.
Sports Leadership & Management found their leader in underclassman Dennis Pierre, who scored 41 points along with six assists. Pierre has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaeden Ivy, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Donna Klein Jewish Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Donna Klein Jewish Academy took their win against Sports Leadership & Management when the teams last played back in January of 2022 by a conclusive 55-35.
