It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Ogilvie Lions ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Rush City 53-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ogilvie also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Ogilvie had a senior duo take command as Tucker Kenyon scored 15 points and Colby Milbradt scored 14 points.
Ogilvie's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Rush City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.
Ogilvie won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on February 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Minnesota (Northland is ranked 324th, while the Lions are ranked 340th). As for Rush City, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m.
